Latest News on The Gate
The Gate project has finally reached completion.
The mall section started its operations gradually
during the first half of 2011 and shoppers were given
a first glimpse of the mall, the new entranceways to
Salam Stores and the chance to indulge in the newly opened boutiques.
Shoppers from across Doha came to explore the mall,
and were met with more than 60% occupancy across the
ground and first levels. The interior concepts at The
Gate have been enhanced with a number of eye-catching
features, including designer public furniture and a
unique chandelier installation commissioned especially
for the mall. Hanging in a main hallway, the chandeliers
feature a clutch of gigantic jellyfish suspended in mid-air,
which when alight offer a dramatic and dreamlike effect to
the space.
The doors of The Gate officially opened to the public on
October 13th, and coincided with a major multimedia marketing
campaign to raise awareness and develop the mall's positioning.
Our primary objective in the advertising drive was to position
The Gate as a luxury destination without equal in the country,
and we are confident that this end was achieved.
The basement parking structures were prepared and made
accessible to visitors. As well as several drop off
locations and street level parking bays, there is over
60,000m2of parking within The Gate's three basement
levels, with an advanced bay status indicator system.
Parking attendants will soon be available to ensure
visitors have no problem finding an available bay.

The construction of phase one has been finalized and operations will start in the first quarter of 2011 .Phase one consists of a mall with two levels of luxurious and elegant retail brands, one level of food and beverage destination and one level of health and wellness services located above three car park basements. Rising above the shopping center are three unique 13 floor smart technology office towers, crowned with a connecting bridge that links two towers, creating the executive offices that are distinguished by their 6 meter floor to slab height forming the Gate structure.
